Vehicle Sale Contract Between Individuals

Between the undersigned: on the one hand, , holder of national identity card No. , residing at , hereinafter referred to as "the Seller"; and on the other hand, , holder of national identity card No. , residing at , hereinafter referred to as "the Buyer"; it has been agreed between the parties as follows.

The Seller transfers to the Buyer, who accepts, the vehicle of make , model , bearing chassis number and registered under number , manufactured in , with a mileage to date of .

This sale is agreed and accepted for the price of (), which the Seller acknowledges having received in full from the Buyer upon signing this contract, for which full and final receipt is hereby given.

The Seller declares that the vehicle subject of this sale is his/her full property, free of any charge, lien, or attachment, and that no dispute exists concerning it, and guarantees the Buyer against any eviction or third-party claim.

Possession of the vehicle and all risks relating thereto pass to the Buyer as of the signing of this contract.

The parties undertake to complete together the official transfer of the vehicle registration card (carte grise) into the Buyer's name at the competent daira.

En Algérie, une voiture vendue entre particuliers ne change officiellement de propriétaire qu’au moment où la vente est enregistrée au service des cartes grises, avec le vendeur et l’acheteur présents ensemble. Depuis le 5 avril 2026, cette étape passe par le nouveau système national d’immatriculation, et la validation des contrats de vente de véhicules par les services d’état civil des mairies a été supprimée. Faut-il encore légaliser le contrat de vente de voiture à l’APC ?

Non. Avec la troisième phase du système national d’immatriculation (5 avril 2026), la validation des contrats de vente de véhicules par les services d’état civil a été supprimée. La vente est enregistrée au service des cartes grises, en présence des deux parties.

Peut-on vendre une voiture dont la carte grise est à l’ancien format ?

Oui, mais pas directement : le propriétaire doit d’abord obtenir auprès du service local d’immatriculation une nouvelle carte délivrée par le nouveau système. L’ancienne carte reste valable pour circuler tant qu’aucune démarche n’est faite.

Où faire la mutation si le vendeur et l’acheteur habitent dans deux wilayas différentes ?

Selon le ministère, la vente peut être enregistrée au service des cartes grises de n’importe quelle commune du pays. Le certificat de résidence de l’acheteur permet le transfert direct du véhicule vers le service de son lieu de résidence.
