The rental security deposit isn't capped by any specific known legal text in Algeria; in practice, it generally corresponds to one month's rent and must be returned to the tenant at the end of the lease if no damage is found.

This amount will be refunded to the tenant at the end of the lease, less any deductions for damages noted during the final walk-through inspection (état des lieux) or for unpaid charges.
